Realme has announced the launch for two new smartphones in Malaysia. One is the Realme 12 Pro+ that’s already made its debut in India, and the Realme 12+, which hasn’t launched here yet. The Realme 12+ has already been spotted on certification sites including BIS, hinting at an imminent India launch. The brand is yet to announce the India launch date for the Realme 12+.

Realme 12+, Realme 12 Pro+ launch in Malaysia

Realme 12+ and Realme 12 Pro+ are scheduled to launch in Malaysia on February 29th. Pre-orders for both the phones will begin on February 16th. Realme has started teasing the upcoming devices confirming the Realme 12+ will come in two colour options of Beige and Wine Green. The Wine Green variant will have a leather finish.

Realme 12+ will also feature a design similar to the Realme 12 Pro+ but with flat edges, and a more subtle looking rear camera module.

As for its specs, here’s what to expect from the Realme 12+.

Realme 12+ specifications (expected)

Display: Realme 12+ is tipped to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (1800 × 2400 pixels resolution) with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Processor: The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor.
RAM and storage: Realme 12+ is tipped to come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
Cameras: It’s expected to house a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony LYT-600 shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, it will most likely sport a 16MP front camera.
Battery, charging: Realme 12+ is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
Software: The smartphone will most likely run Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 out-of-the-box.
